Marble Nail Art

Nail art is the most versatile and latest fashion statement today. As many other art forms, nail art also requires wild imaginations and creativity. This wild imagination and creativity gives way to plethora of unique and enduring designs and patterns.

I was visiting you tube and suddenly i saw a video on water marble nail art. I found it very interesting and very easy.so iam sharing this with you.

How to Marbelize your Nails

Materials required
  • 2-3 colors of nail polish
  • nail polish remover
  • toothpicks
  • a paper/plastic cup
  • cotton swabs, cotton balls
  • some scrap paper
  • (optional) oil or skin cream
Method
Step 1:Have a coat of nail polish already on your nails.Use the lightest color from the ones you picked to do the marbelizing with.
Step 2: Fill the paper cup half-full with water. Open the nail polish bottles. You need to work quickly, so don’t bother screwing the bottles shut while you are working.
Step 3: Hover the nail polish brush over the water and a large drop of nail polish fall on the water. It will spread out. Drop another color in the center of the circle of nail polish. Let it spread and add another color (if you are doing three colors) or another drop of the first color. Make a few circles this way.nail marbelization how-to, nail art, body art, ornament

Step 4: Take a toothpick and use it to pull the nail polish across the surface of the water. It will begin to look marbelized. Don’t mess with the nail polish too much. Bolder patterns seem to come out better than patterns with a lot of thin lines.nail marbelization how-to, nail art, body art, ornament
Step 5: Dip your fingernail into the water, flat across the surface. If there’s a part of the nail polish design that looks particularly nice, aim for that. Pull your nail away from the surface of the water and let it dry.nail marbelization how-to, nail art, body art, ornament

Step 6: Let the nail polish sit on the surface of the water 30 seconds or 1 minute. Then swish the water with the toothpick. The nail polish will stick to it. Pull it all out of the water, and start again for the next nail.
Step 7: When you have finished all your nails, clean up the area around your fingernails with cotton swabs and nail polish remover to remove all the excess nail polish.

    Tips

Wrap scotch tape around your fingernails before dipping. This seriously decreases the amount of time spent removing excess nail polish later.

    • If you use a white base coat, your colors will be much brighter. If you use a medium or dark color, the results will be more subdued.
    • Once you have laid your nail down on the nail polish film on top of the water, rather than pulling your finger away, put your finger under the water for about 30 seconds. Let the nail polish dry on the water. With your finger still underwater, scoop out the hardened nail polish from the surface with a toothpick. When the water is clear, remove your finger from the water.
